NEW HERE? LOOKING FOR INFO ABOUT KINPORT ASSEMBLY OF GOD?
WHO WE ARE... YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED!
  • What kind of a church are you?

Kinport Assembly of God is a pentecostal church within the PennDel District Network of the Assemblies of God (ag.org). Our mission is to empower people for life through an authentic, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • What is the church like? How would I be received?

We meet people where they are in life, because that's what God does. We are not perfect, and we don't assume or expect that anyone else should be. What we want most is to help you understand who God is and enter into a relationship with Him, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. There is no expected attire or pre-requisite for church attendance or participation. Join us exactly how you are!

  • What does a typical Sunday look like?

Our Sundays are designed to help each person receive and celebrate the presence of God, no matter your age or background experience in faith!

We have an interactive Bible study that begins at 9:30a.m. each Sunday called "Community Builders," which aims to build community and invite discussion of the Bible. We have various groups based upon age (children to adults) and the groups normally last about 45 minutes.

At 10:30a.m. we all gather together for our Worship Service. We'll spend time in worship, singing songs and celebrating who God is. We have a time of prayer, and we receive an encouraging message from our Lead Pastor. This service lasts about 90 minutes and we end right around 12:00p.m.

  • What about my children?

If you have kids, GREAT! Your children are welcome to join you in our main worship service at 10:30 AM, but if you're looking for a more in-depth program for them, check out our Sunday Kids Min! We have a Nursery classroom for your infants and toddlers and we have a robust children's ministry called Kinport Kids (Pre-K-5th grade)!

Here's how Kids Min at Kinport works: Check-In for Kids Ministry ages birth to 5th grade begins at 10:15 AM in our Kids Min wing, which is in the back hallway. Children are grouped by age: Nursery, Pre-K, and K-5th. Their Sunday expereince is a FULL service designed specifically for kids! Every service incudes worship, prayer, a bible lesson/kids sermon, activities to support the lesson, games, memory verses, and more! We have both adults and youth students serving in our Kids Ministry every Sunday to help ensure a great Sunday experience for all ages.

If your children are in 6th to 12th grade, we have a ministry just for them called Kinport Youth! While our Youth will worship and stay with the adults in the Ministry Center on Sunday mornings, they have their own youth service every Sunday evening at 6:00p.m.! The Youth services include games, food, relationship-building, teaching, and intentional discipleship.

  • Do you have ministries other than Sunday mornings?

Yes! Our goal is to keep our church family engaged throughout the week! On Sunday evenings we have Kinport Youth for our youth students, whcih also includes competitive Teen Bible Quiz (grades 6 to 12th only).

We also have mid-week events, including a Women's Small Group (contact the church office for more inforation), and a Family Ministries Night on Wednesday evenings. During Family Ministries Night, we have an Ignite Prayer Service for all adults, Royal Rangers for our boys, and Girl Ministries for our girls! Our Boys and Girls ministies are for all children and youth, from Pre-K to 12th grade.

  • What does your church believe? What is your mission statement?

For us, these are two separate questions. First, our mission statement. We want to EMPOWER PEOPLE FOR LIFE through a process we call LOVE, SERVE, and GO! Jesus teaches us that we need to love our God and our neighbors, serve our people and communities as He served, and go out and make disciples! We want to empower you to live out His mission!

As for our statement of beliefs, you can visit this link to see our full statement of truths, which all come from the Bible.
