The 4th of July is celebrated as the day where we declared our individuality and freedom as the United States of America. It's an incredible feeling to know that we have independence and the right to freedom of speech, where we worship, and more.
However, while we can celebrate our independence as a nation, as people we were not meant to be independent. God created us for a purpose, and the more independent we are in life away from Him, the harder and less fulfilling life can get.
